Each day at nursery is carefully planned so that activities and routines match the needs of the children in our care… and are FUN!
We work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum framework which is mandatory for all Early Years settings, as set out by the Departent of Education. This helps carers focus on your child, your child’s needs, the things that your child enjoys doing and how to ensure the time at nursery is happy and productive.
The aim is to help young children achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic well-being.
Details of planned activities are displayed in the nursery and you will receive daily feedback as to how your child’s time has been spent. All milestones are monitored, observed and recorded in partnership with parents.
For 3-5 year olds the learning continues through lots of stimulating activities and builds on a child’s enjoyment to play.
For more information on this you can visit the government website: www.everychildmatters.gov.uk/
We also enjoy our gardens, local walks, professional visits from the Fire Brigade, Police , Spanish lessons, music classes and lots more.
