Our Staff
Choosing appropriate care for your child is an important decision. At Daybreak Nurseries we believe that the communication between, you, our staff and your child is the key to success. All our nurseries have a team of highly qualified, dedicated and inspiring carers.
Each team is headed up by a Nursery Manager with considerable experience in childcare and management. They are further supported by a Senior Team and carers that are based in a particular room within their nursery.
This provides continuity for the children and allows us to operate our keycarer system. Each child has two people who are primarily responsible for their well-being and are the main point of contact to help your child settle in, discuss each day’s activities and work with you on your child’s development.
Our approach to training is innovative and supportive. We share best practice across all nurseries and in addition to the statutory requirements regarding Qualifications in Childcare, First Aid, Safeguarding, Food & Hygiene we encourage the use of other skills that augment our activities including arts & crafts, music & movement and IT.
The gold standard qualification for those working in childcare is the Early Years Professional Status. The government’s aim is to have an Early Years Professional in every day care setting by 2015. At Daybreak we have already achieved this at one nursery and are on track to have developed at least one EYP at each setting by 2012. This ensures that our Foundation Stage curriculum is implemented by people who have demonstrated that they can lead and inspire colleagues and help give children the start in life they deserve.
