Experience Matters

As we begin our preparations to celebrate 15 years of providing high quality, flexible childcare at Daybreak Nurseries we have been reflecting on the fact that the undisputed jewel in our crown is the experience, expertise and enthusiasm of our staff.

We are extremely proud that all Daybreak’s four managers have been with us since their settings opened. They have subsequently individually and collectively developed their teams and environments into unique nurseries that meet the needs of the children in their care which over the years include 5 of their own and 2 of mine. This has really helped us embed our ethos that “your child’s well-being is central to every decision we make.”

Professionally they have trodden different career paths as Daybreak has supported them through all their training which has included Honours Degrees in Childcare and Early Years Professional Qualifications adding depth to their knowledge and experience. In turn, Laura, Claire, Jo and Laura ensure all our staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, the Prevent Duty, Food Hygiene as well as continuing professional development.

Importantly all this results in a positive experience for our children and their families as can be seen by the reviews for Daybreak on the leading UK Nursery website www.daynurseries.co.uk where both Rickmansworth Town Centre and Rickmansworth Shepherds Lane are awarded a score of 9.7 out of 10 making them the most highly recommended in the area.

If you would like to come and experience what Daybreak Nurseries has to offer to either talk to us about careers in childcare or to view one of our nurseries we would be delighted to meet you

Communication
Matters

Communication is important to us and we strive to keep all parents informed of all events and notices. We currently use a platform called Blossom to communicate daily feedback to parents, please see our Blossom page for more information.

In addition we use Parentmail which is an online facility that helps us to keep all our details up to date and parents continuously informed. For more details visit www.parentmail.co.uk.

We continue to monitor our services and value any feedback and comments you have throughout your child’s stay with us. Please note, the most important place to keep informed is on the parent’s notice board and the boards outside your child’s rooms. Please remember the manager’s door is always open and you can talk directly to your child’s key carer or manager to discuss any aspect of your child’s care.

On a day to day basis you can email your manager with any questions or queries.

Parents Evenings are held twice a year and are an opportunity to discuss your child’s development and to give detailed feedback regarding your child. Each week you will receive an email from the management team explaining what your child/children will be focusing on for the following week, this is a great opportunity for you to take an interest in your child’s week and may even have something to bring in for your child to share with their friends in relation to the topics for that week.

We also use Social Media to keep you up to date...
